What Causes Burning Sensation And Pain In Scalp?

I recently had a stent for a blockage in one of my vessels.. Since the stent I have experienced a burning sensation and pain at the top of my head.. My cardiologist thinks it may be related to the dye when I had the stent procedure.. I was put on Atarax yesterday and it makes me drowsy.. If I don't feel better in two weeks. then I will have to take steroids.. Any suggestions??
