What Causes Burning Sensation In The Eyes With Sensitivity To Light?

my father is having a severe eye burning and not able to open eye to light.
he was taking flexilor and me12od for leg pain. After 4 days taking these medicine and eye burning started. then orthopedics dr. advised to stop those 2 medicnes and take avil 25mg tablet and ciproflexin drops. still after 3 days continuous burning sensation of eyes and red in colour and not able to open to see lights.
please advise doctor.
