What Causes Burning Sensation In The Stomach Upon Eating Post Alcohol Intake?

Hi I drank quite a lot of alcohol last night and I threw up today. After throwing up my stomach had a knawing burnin pain but it was not terribly bad. Then I ate and immediately had a burning sensation in my stomach so bad I wanted to throw up. It lasted a few hours and I didn t throw up. It went away and I started to get hungry again so I ate a little bit of soup and it happened again right away so I stopped. Any idea what this is?
