What Causes Burning Sensation In Vagina After Intercourse?

Hello I started taking birth control pills a week and a half ago and I had sex with my husband two days ago. I began having a burning sensation and I opened my vagina and it was red inside. I didn t pay attention and I went on with my day, then it started itching even more. I m not sure what it is? I ve been using a showering soap for vaginal use, that can also be a cause, I believe. And I diagnosed myself, which I know is wrong and inserted a yeast infection cream and it has not gotten better, that was last night... any suggestions, I will get checked as soon as I find a clinic available near me.
