What Causes Burning Sensation, Itchiness And Pain In The Armpits?

I have burning/ itchy/ painful armpits. My doctor said because lymph nodes do not feel rubbery and have not got larger it isnt breast cancer. I had blood tests with a slightly high sed count and im tired often with cold after cold. Could i have cancer?
