What Causes Burning Sensation On Legs And Rashes On Inner Knees?

My daughter was sitting on the carpet when she started sobbing that her leg was burning, she seems to have a rash on the inside of her knee, but we can t see what might have caused it, or think if she ate something that might have caused an allergy. Any ideas?
