What Causes Burning Sensation On The Stretch Marks Of Lower Abdomen?

I have a burning feeling on my lower stomach area. I have stretch marks there. My youngest child is 8 years old so I don t think its from the c section. I have no visible marks or rash. I went to the gyno and she told me to see a dermatologist. It hurts everyday. To touch it, clothes rubbing it, pain shoots through it every now and then as well. I am a 43 year old female
