What Causes Chest And Shoulder Spots With Redness?

I developed some large red spots on my chest and shoulders in early pregnancy and still have them and new ones 3 weeks post miscarriage. Are these hormonal and when might they subside and could they have been a symptom of any problem with the pregnancy?
