What Causes Chest Pain After Taking Prednisone For Chronic Pain Syndrome?

I am taking Prednisone (3 1mg tablets per day) to help with a chronic pain disorder. Shortly after I started taking this medication I stared having pain in my lower right side rib cage. It will not go away. Since I work in archiving old files I am moving boxes all the time the doctors and I felt I had a pulled muscle. The CAT Scan came back negative as well. My question is could this medication be the cause of this pain that has been going on for 6 weeks.
