What Causes Chest Pain Along With Difficulty While Swallowing?

Hi I am having dry cough with very little mucus. There is little chest pain and also i face problem while swallowing the food i eat. I hav seen a doctor and he has precribed me Antitusive cough syurp and Drego tablets. I have taken it for a week but still the problem persists. What should i do?
