What Causes Chest Pain Along With Excessive Salivation?

I Am experiencing gradual onset dull right chest pain, with increased salivating until I throw up red vile. This has been happening for over 6 months...these symptoms occur mostly at night, but are starting to occur earlier in the day. symptoms are worse by laying down. The first general doctor prescribed prilosec....still symptoms after a month...no luck with liquid anti acid or tums. I believe I need an appointment with a gastrointestinal. Any suggestions?
