What Causes Chills And Swelling In Legs Post Gall Bladder Surgery?

My friend just had an emergency gallbladder surgery on 2/14/15.....she was released to go home day after,but before an now after surgery she is still getting cold an she says she is chilled to the bone... they removed a gallstone the size off a golf ball an right before she was discharged to go home doctor said the instruments used only went through 2of the 3 process to be sterile.......my friend has not ran any fevers.....an now her legs are swelling..... should any of this be of a high concern
