What Causes Chills, Body Aches And Fever After Having D&C?

I found out my baby died on dec 31st. I was given cytotec for three days they didn t work.i ended up with a fever,chills.a bad flu. On jan 16 I lost my baby in the hospital but had a d&c after because the placenta was not all out. I was told to wait two weeks to have sex and when bleeding stopped. We didn t . And it prolonged the bleeding. I have been stopped bleeding for a few days now but have a bad flu again. Same as before . I had a fever that is gone now and chills, body aches , etc. is it possible I have an infection ?
