What Causes Choking Sensation In Throat?

I am 40 year old female and weight 205pnds. My concern is with my throat, i have this feeling as though food is stuck somewhere in my throat and when i attempt to swallow it comes back and stays there. It does not seem to go down. It feels like a lump of uneven edges
