What Causes Chronic Abdominal Discomfort?

I had an ultrasound last year and they found no gallstones but I am still having a feeling of pressure and excess gas in that area. What else could this be? The symptoms seem to reappear every year at the same time of the year - late fall/early winter and then lessens in the spring and summer.
