What Causes Chronic Abnormal Vaginal Discharge Post Contraceptive Implantation?

Hello, I have had the implanon contraceptive implant for just over 2 years, however have been getting brown stringy discharge with it daily pretty much from the beginning. Is there anything I can take to stop this? Or is getting it removed and using alternative contraception i.e the pill the solution?
