What Causes Chronic Bouts Of Chills, Low Grade Fever And Vomiting?

My husband had gall bladder taken out. He continues to have episodes of chills, low grade fever and some vomitting. He was having these sypmtoms before the surgery and doctor said they thought it was his gall bladder so they took it out, even though it looked fine. What can be causing it now?
