What Causes Chronic Inner Thighs Pain In A Person With Diabetes?

Hello,
I was diagnosed 5 years ago as diabetic. Since then, it has been contolled by diet and exercise. About a year ago, I started having incapacitating pain throughout my thighs-primarily inner thighs symmetrically. Had an EMG and Nerve Conduction test--came out negative. Neurologist believes I have small fiber when my feet ache occasionally but seems unsure about thighs. Is it possible that this is a psychological as suggested by John Sarno, MD and not neuropathy as it doesn't fit a clear cut pattern? Thank you.
