What Causes Chronic Left Sided Throbbing Pain In Head?

Pulsating vein on the left side of my head...For the last 3weeks I can t seen to sleep well I wake up in the middle of the night and can t go bk again...i wake up at 3am I try to sleep I cnt this pulsating vein on the left side of my head started 2days ago??
