What Causes Chronic Pain In Entire Right Leg While Recovering From Stroke?

My wife had a stroke 7 years ago. She lost her ability to speak and has had some numbness on her right side . She has been active and runs 3 miles a day. Just within the last 3 weeks she has developed chronic pain in her entire right leg that prevents her from sleeping through the night and actually hurts so bad she has trouble standing and walking. Is this pain stroke related ?
