What Causes Chronic Pain In Legs With Shortness Of Breath?

I am experiencing pain all the timein both legs. I have trouble walking and breathing going up the stairs,I feel like I have asthma. I have trouble getting up from a chair, and at night the pain keeps me up all the time. I was told to see a cardiologist. I am a 60 year -old female somewhat overweight. I have also suffered with sciatiac as well, but I don;t think this is it. My blood pressure taken yesterday was 102 over 90.
