What Causes Chronic Pain Under Right Rib Cage?

I have had chronic pain under my right rib cage. Gall bladder removed in 1996. Horrible pain. Worse at night. Was seen @ the hospital a few times for pancreatitis. I don t drink or have a gall bladder. A few years ago I was told I have mesenteric panniculitis. Not sure what to do.
