What Causes Chronic Post Nasal Drip?

I sleep with a c-pap machine, had cataract surgery last September in both eyes, and just resentley developed sinus infection and saw a dr. for penicillion and that didn't work and my nose is running all the time and now it hurts to breath trough my right side of my nose, what is going on.?
