What Causes Chronic Stiffness At The Site Of Blood Draw?

I had a routine blood test a little more than a year ago. The nurse hit my nerve as I felt it immediately and when I said something she admitted that I was right. She brushed it off by saying that the pain would go away in a couple of weeks. Well here it is more than a year later and the area around my elbow is extremely stiff most of the day and especially at night when I am trying to sleep. Will this ever feel normal?
