What Causes Chronic Vaginal Discharge And Pain Post Intercourse?

Hi, I recently went to my family doctor about UTI's, I was getting them very frequently, he sent me to a specialist who then gave me medication to take after intercourse as he thought that was possibly the main trigger. Although the medication has seemed to help, I have recently been experiencing a lot of pain during intercourse, in both my vagina as well as deep in my lower pelvic area. I went to my family doctor who is sending me to a different specialist and to have an ultrasound. He thought it could be endometriosis. But since then I am now experiencing vaginal discharge that is clear or a very pale yellow and very thin. The discharge is almost all the time, and has an odour. Should I go back? Is there anything I can do to help cope with the odour and discharge until I can get in to see him again?
