What Causes Clear Brown Liquid Discharge From Nipples?

Is it normal to have a clear/light brown liquid come from the areola when squeezed? It started doing this about two years ago. I saw a doctor but she acted like it wasn t a big deal. It usually happens more if I wear the same bra for a few days on accident. It comes from both breasts.
