What Causes Clots On Arms After Being Diagnosed With Scoliosis?

I have never had these problems before, until after I had back scoliosis surgery all the way down
. I was still in the hospital with a bad infection at the surgical sight. I came home with a pick in the arm and antibiotics. I am still on antibiotics. I have two clots in right arm and one in the left. How do you know when they break loose, what caused them, when will they go away or will I develop more? They are still trying to regulate my cumidum level. Will I always be on this cumidum? Thanks. I
