What Causes Cold Chills And Numbness?

I have been having the feelings of cold chills and numbness or "sleeping" feeling on the sides of my face and neck, going into my head. it's only one side at a time. Can you help me? I'm afraid I may be having mini strokes, although I've had them for months now but they're getting more frequent.
