What Causes Cold, Cough With Ear Crackling Sounds?

hi iv had a terrible cold for 1 week , and tickle cough , when i was coughing yesterday so hard my ear was crackiling , now today when i bathed water went in to my ear and i feel its not coming back out , no loss of hearing or pain just a unuall feeling thank you
