What Causes Congestion And Swelling Of Nose ?

I have had a lot of irritation in my nose for more than 2 weeks now. Initially I thought it was due to the dry air but i've been putting vaseline or aquaphor in my nose to help with the dryness and I use prescription flonase + saline nose spray and that hasn't helped. Not the inside of my nose appears to be inflamed and swollen because it hurts to touch around my nostrils or blow/wipe my nose. It also appears there is a small white bump inside of one nostril which is causing me the most problem. My nose is runny and congested. I have seasonal allergies. I have been sneezing a lot, and I have a lot of mucus at times and other times I have lots of bloody/large boogers that come out of my nose. I am not sure if I need to see a doctor or not because my roommate had similar problems a month or so ago and she had a staph infection in her nose. Thanks.
