What Causes Consistent Pain Behind Tongue And Tense Stiffness In Jaw?

For the last two weeks I have had a consistent pain at the back of my tongue. It almost feels like I need to stretch it, like it s very stiff and tense. It is also starting to be accompanied by a stiff /tense feeling in my jaw. I m struggling to get any kind of relief. I ve tried pain killers and muscle relaxants, nothing had helped. It is keeping me up at night now, which I think it s only exasperating the whole thing
