What Causes Constant Back Pain And Nerve Pulling Feeling After Surgery?

Dear Dr. Andrew, Thanks for your assistance. I m 57 years old. I had back operation at Kings college hospital in 2008. Before my operation, I used to have numbness from my waist down to my legs, after the operation the numbness disappeared and I was fine. About 2 years ago I started having nerve pulling at the back of my legs which is what I m suffering from now and constant pains from my back. I went back to my consultant recently and second operation was suggested! From your medical experience, Dr. would you advise that I go for this option or what medical advise can you offer, please.
