What Causes Constant Burping While On Dexilant For Hard Bowels?

I constantly burp after eating,sometimes after I swallow or up to 11 hours after I eat. (occasional heartburn) It keeps me from sleeping for hours and when I do get to sleep I wake up burping. I sleep on a wedge pillow. In my younger years I was diagnosed with IBS, loose bowels. Now in my 70's my bowels are hard. Currently taking dexilant. It does not help my problem.
