What Causes Constant Pain In Abdomen With Nausea?

I went to a physician about my upper abdominal pain and he gave me Dicetol, which helped at first. Pain back and constant with nausea now. I do have IBS for years but this pain is different. I also have a very sore tongue that came on suddenly. I am 66 and wondering about diabetes as I am over weight.
