What Causes Constant Pain In Hips?

I have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome and am in constant pain when it comes to my hip. It's difficult to walk but the pain even wakes me up when I am sleeping. An x-ray showed partial sacralization of the right side of the L5. My rheumatologist told me this was normal and wouldn't cause any pain. Any thoughts on this?
