What Causes Constant Sore Throat While Suffering From Asthma?

I am a 25 yr old female in well and normal! The only health issue I have is asthma and it is only flared up seasonally. I am currently having a continous sore throat and in is mostly on the left side of my throat, I have had this issue for a couple weeks and I am starting to get concerned it is more than just a sore throat from allergies or even strep throat! Should I be concerned with diseases and of cancers
