What Causes Constant Stimulation Of Cervix After Copper Coil Insertion?

Hello. I had a copper coil fitted 9 days ago and apart from constant discomfort, abdominal cramps, feeling bruised and tender and feeling very tired (which i understand can be normal for a few weeks) I'm really struggling to put up with what feels like constant stimulation of my cervix. Is my cervix swollen, is the coil poking it, is it normal and please WHEN WILL IT STOP?
