What Causes Continued Swelling Of Tonsils?

Hi there,

I have had swollen tonsils for about 2 months now. I have gone to my doctor and they gave me some antibiotics first but it did not go away. Then they gave me penicillin which I took for a about 2 weeks. I still have swollen tonsils, I don't feel sick or anything and I just noticed today some white "pus" on my right tonsil. The doctor just keeps telling me in strep but it shouldn't be like this, especially after the penicillin.
