What Causes Continuous Bleeding During Periods?

My daughter is 13 years 6 months last year her periods start and it was normal every month now last month she had her periods and bleeding didnot stop for 25 days so doctor give her harmonal tablet I am worried she is diagnosed with PCOD .Is this cure able and how to stop bleeding
