What Causes Continuous Menstrual Flow With Abdominal Cramping?

i was told to use althea pills as an emergency contraception. few hours after unprotected sex, i took 6 pills,12 hours apart and finish the entire pack. after three days, i started having spotting. then, after 11 days from the emergency contraception, i started with another pack of althea so as to control/stabilize my hormonal levels(so as i was told by a doctor). My spotting continued(brownish in color) until on the fourth day on the said pills, heavier flow started(bloody red in color now) with abdominal cramping. This 'menstrual' flow with this bloody characteristic has been going on for 4 days now.is this normal? will this stop? because usually, during my normal menses, i would by now (4th day) having minimal brownish flow. I am taking the pill everyday at the same time. im not smoking nor drinking.but I exercise everyday. please tell me if this is normal or not and what i should do.
