What Causes Contraction Like Abdominal Pains?

Hi, I am a 28 year old female, not taking birth control in any form and definitely not pregnant (hpt taken this morning), but I have been getting contraction-like pains in my abdomen along with some colicky-feeling pains in both my ovaries on and off, worse as the day wears on. I am a normal healthy weight (bmi 24) and only relevant past medical history is of ruptured ovarian cysts (2, right-sided).
