What Causes Contractions In Feet Radiating Up The Body Post Colonoscopy?

It s time for me to have another colonoscopy. Last time I took the prep I started having contractions in my feet that moved up my body. Most of my body contracted and I got into hot water to relieve the pain and stopped taking the prep. Any ideas what was happening?
