What Causes Cough Followed By Vomiting?

Hello, I am at present getting over a rather nasty cough but sometimes have bouts of coughing which lead to me vomiting. The coughing starts with a tickling sensation in my throat followed by vomiting, it doesn't happen very often but it is somewhat disturbing when it does. What could this be?
