What Causes Cracked Skin On The Head Of Penis?

Hi I have something strange going on. For a number of years now ive noticed that, when I pull my foreskin back, I have a couple of small, 5mm slits in the skin under the head, I've no idea what they are or do, they don't hurt or affect me in any way, but I would like to know what they are. Thanks
