What Causes Cracking Sound Along With A Lump In Neck?

ya about a week ago i was playing ground hockey and i got checked from behind, while i was bent forward towards the wall getting the puck. The pressure from behind made my head go into my body are a weird angle and i heard something crack. It took me a while to get straight up but i still feel a pain in my neck. I also can t turn my neck to the right, and i feel a lump on that side too. Big explanation but could you narrow it done on what happen?
