What Causes Cracks And Bleeding In Hands Of Person With Plaque Psoriasis?

I have plaque psoriasis, my hands are the worst. what can I do to stop them from cracking and bleeding. I have tried so many things. I am scared of taking any kinds of medications that have harsh side effects. I had a cortisone shot in my back and it helped my hands for almost a month. can a person take those for psoriasis as well?
