What Causes Cramping In The Abdomen With Brown Discharge?

Hi I'm 28 years old and as of lately I've been having mild to moderate cramping on both sides of my lower abdomen with a brownish discharge and sometimes I spotting bright red blood I don't know what is causing it. Oh I've been cramping for about a week and a half. Can u tell me why this is happening.
