What Causes Crawling And Itching Feeling In Legs And Hands?

Thank you; my question is concerning creepy crawly itchy feelings in my feet and now starting in my hands. I feel like I want to scream sometimes, and it is frightening. I have seen a neurosurgeon because of herniated discs in my back; and He suggested surgery for them. At the time I saw him; this was not happening, it was just bad back pain.Could this be related to the disc problem? Thank you.
