What Causes Cyst In Ovary With Adjacent Free Fluid?

I had an ultra sound done couple days ago and they found a 2.3 cm complex cyst in my right ovary with adjacent free fluid and smaller anechoic cysts in both ovaries compatible with developing tertiary follicles, I am in a lot of pain and feel sick, I am suppose to see my doctor on Friday but I wanted to find out if it would be a good idea to see one sooner because the pain and all the other symptoms keep getting worse.
