What Causes Cyst Like Object Growing Inside Vagina After Having IUD?

I had an IUD placed 3 wks ago. I started my period 2 days later and it hasn't stopped. Tonight, I felt something abnormal in my vagina. When I looked there was abnormal tissue growing around the outside of my vagina and a cyst like object growing right inside my vagina. What could this be??
